We specialise in corporate and business-to-business PR and reputation management. Our services include strategy, issues management, advice and counsel, key messaging, media relations, writing and editing.
The Third Avenue team has a combined 75 years' experience in journalism, corporate communications and public relations. Clients work with our senior, experienced team. This results in good relationships with our clients, and of course, excellent outcomes.
Media Relations
Having worked as a journalist for more than 20 years, Rochelle has the ability to think like a journalist, and as a team, Third Ave has an intuitive sense of news and what will and won't work.
We speak to journalists every day – which results in two things: they know and respect that we won’t waste their time and story/commentary opportunities come our way that others may not necessarily hear about. Media relations is a core competency at Third Avenue.
Strategy
We believe all effective PR should start with a strategy and deliver on it. Pro-activity is at the core of everything we do.
Our team works collaboratively with our clients to understand their unique business goals and challenges to build bespoke PR strategies that influences key stakeholders and decision makers; building profile, reputation and ultimately achieve their business and professional growth goals.
Issues Management
Effective issues management, and preparation, is one of the core pillars of any PR strategy. We specialise in proactive and reactive issues management that is tailored to your organisation's needs.
We work closely with our clients to determine whether a proactive or reactive response to media speculation or enquiries is required and are experienced in coordinating all all media liaison and correcting factually incorrect coverage.
Our focus is on safeguarding your reputation and maintaining stakeholder trust.
Reputation Management
One of the key pillars for growth of any organisation is building an organisation's reputation and profile through public relations. This is equally important for a company's executive leadership team, and showcasing the depth and breadth of talent.
We achieve this through proactive story pitching, LinkedIn management, relationship building with key journalists and other relevant opportunities.
Media Training
We offer bespoke media training offering key message development and media and stakeholder training and awareness for executives who want to clearly communicate to all stakeholders, including staff, and who are conscious of their public image.
The modern workplace and 24/7 global news cycle demands that key executives develop strong communication skills so they can effectively present their story to key stakeholders.
Media interviews, public speaking, networking events, social media, staff meetings and even social events are all marketing opportunities to promote your offering and vision. The effective and consistent delivery of key messages is critical for all media spokespeople, especially when weathering an issue or crisis and a hostile environment.
Third Avenue Media Training develops and enhances professional communication skills to ensure executives deliver the right message every time.
LinkedIn Management
We work with clients that want to transition from using LinkedIn as a networking and recruiting tool to a true publishing platform.
LinkedIn is now a communication channel for future-facing companies and leaders who want to build their employer brand, engage stakeholders, participate in industry communications and support best practice, elevate their profile as an industry leader, engage the media, support corporate PR, and manage crises and issues effectively.
We offer a range of services related to LinkedIn, including audits, strategic planning, content development and execution.

Our service to you: our favourite drinks recipes (you're welcome)
Rochelle
I am an early adopter of Four Pillars Gin, and I might even be a 'ginfluencer' given my love of all Australian gins and our unique botanicals.
However, nothing goes past a Four Pillars Negroni (except, on occasion, a Four Pillars super dry Martini with a twist):
30ml Four Pillars Spiced Negroni Gin
30 ml Campari
30ml Regal Rogue Bold Red.
Pour ingredients over ice in an Old Fashioned glass. Stir for 5-10 seconds. Twist orange peel over the drink and place it in. Enjoy.

I might be bias, but I think my husband makes one of the best margaritas out there, he has perfected his recipe down to the millilitre and is my favourite sip on a Friday afternoon:
43ml lime
13ml sugar syrup
30ml tequila
30ml Cointreau
Shaken with plenty of ice and served in a salt rimmed glass, fresh from chilling in the freezer.

When it comes to cocktails, I love a classic margarita. Plenty of lime and extra salt on the rim.
But as a Mudgee girl, I’m all about the wine. Some of my top picks are:
LMB Chardonnay or Rose
Gilbert Rouge Pinot Noir
Manners Tempranillo
Skimstone Barbara

It’s near impossible for me to go past a spicy margarita, and this one, courtesy of the legendary RecipeTin Eats, is right up my alley:
6 x 3mm slices of jalapeno, deseeded, plus extra for garnish
60ml tequila
30ml Cointreau
1 ½ tbsp lime juice
1 tbsp sugar syrup
ice for shaking
Salt
Lime zest
Mix the salt and lime zest together in a small bowl then spread on a small plate. Rub the rim of the cocktail glass with lime juice then press into the lime salt.
Muddle the jalapeno with the tequila in a cocktail shaker (or mortar and pestle). Add the remaining margarita ingredients and shake. Strain into a glass. Garnish with lime and jalapeno slices.
